Terry James
Owner and Director

With a relaxed, professional approach (coupled with some natural flair), Terry has been the point person for many of Diverse Worx’s highest profile customers. By diligently understanding the demands of their operational environments and anticipating their needs, Terry has been instrumental in the company’s business development and strategic activities.

A licenced plumber and builder (low rise; shop fitting; kitchen and bathroom) with 20 years’ experience in the field behind him, Terry, together with Drew and Brad, identified a gap in the market for a full turnkey provider, but one that was easy to do business with.  His motivation, enthusiasm and ‘one call and leave it to us’ approach means he is never far from his phone, ready to service Diverse Worx’s clients in an efficient, organised and professional manner.

An Ipswich boy originally, Terry splits his free time between his active young family, socialising or cycling with friends.

Brad Murray
Owner and Director

In a career that spans more than 20 years and includes speciality delivery roles for public infrastructure projects including works, maintenance and installation, Brad has also built a solid background in the effective management of staff and contractors. His considered and calm operational focus has been a vital component of the Diverse Worx story, since he started the company with Terry and Drew in 2006.

Originally trade qualified as a fitter and turner, Brad continually adapts his skills and experience to meet customer needs and spends quality time refining the operational delivery areas of Diverse Worx to maximise customer satisfaction, value for money and speed of service.

Extreme Sports fan and former competitive motorcyclist Brad has hung up his leathers for more leisurely activities such as mountain biking.  Heading to the beach or the hills are a favourite family activity.

Drew Hunter
Owner and Director

Together with Terry and Brad, Drew’s vision for Diverse Worx was simple – to provide an expert and honest service. His own technical abilities, developed over 20 years in the industry, are enhanced further by his ability to communicate often complicated concepts in ‘plain English’ (as Drew would say, ‘not all tech talk’), which makes him regularly in demand by customers.

A local Brisbane boy, Drew spent the early part of his career as a qualified Fitter and Machinist, before working for large property developers and property management companies where he honed his skills delivering seamless projects ‘under budget and under time’. It’s a service commitment he instils in Diverse Worx today.

Bringing up a young family means you can often find Drew kicking the footy around with his children or supporting his local soccer club, before he takes off on his bike for an afternoon ride.

Bronwen Wieden
Accounts Payable

With more than 15 years’ experience, Bronwen has been the lynchpin in the Diverse Worx team:  managing the day to day operations, customer relations and commercial functions. Having worked at Diverse Worx since its inception in 2006, she has formed strong relationships with its customer base. Bronwen played a significant role in developing the Diverse Worx service model and in her contribution to the direction and expansion to its range of services.

A flair for problem solving and a sharp memory enables her to quickly anticipate customer needs with a results driven, friendly and adaptable approach. Her ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude has helped Diverse attract and retain a high calibre of clients.

Originally from Ingham and with a weakness for chocolate (let it be noted she can be bribed), you can often find Bronwen and her family strolling around Southbank Parklands on the weekend or volunteering in her local community.

Nicola Sundhoo
Accounts Receivable

Two words sum up Nicola, ‘sorting it!’.  As Diverse Worx’s office manager, Nicola provides critical support to the commercial and operational facets of the business and is often the voice of Diverse Worx (if you hear a Scottish accent when you call, that’s Nicola). With a background in facilities and HR, Nicola understands the importance of creating and maintaining high performing work environments and the effects this has on productivity, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Nicola is originally from Glasgow and having a father who played professional football (the soccer kind) meant she travelled extensively before unpacking her bags finally in Brisbane.

With a degree in exercise physiology, she is often found on the netball court coaching her daughter’s team, or doing a range of other sports with her three children. Sometimes, she even manages to sleep!

Nick Versluys
Project Manager

A techy by nature, Nick relocated from the Whitsundays to Brisbane in the early 1990’s. Having completed his apprenticeship in electrical and refrigeration Nick was asked to join Diverse Worx soon after inception in 2006. Since then he’s cemented his place in developing and refining the company’s technical estimating and more recently, its project management approach and protocols.

A qualified electrician with 20 years’ experience, including a variety of roles within the technical trades industry for service and maintenance, Nick’s ‘always available’ attitude means that customer needs come first. In disaster situations where a client’s operational down time means compromised customer service and loss of revenue, Nick is on the frontline of managing the repair and security of infrastructure assets.

Nicks qualifications include electrical fitter mechanic and refrigeration mechanic apprenticeship, with licences for Electrical Contractors, Open Cables, Confined Space, and EWP.

Cat Peters
Service Coordinator

Cat oversees the day to day movements of Diverse Worx’s network of tradespeople. Running the team schedule like a well-oiled machine, she also manages the company’s preventative and regular maintenance service. Since she joined in July 2015, Cat’s passion and willingness to help has been instrumental.

Cat has held administrator and accounts roles in various companies spanning facilities management, property development, business technology and biosecurity.   Her strong business administration background has been gained in both the private and federal government.

Cat has held a number of voluntary roles over the years, mostly related to sporting associations. When the sun is shining on the weekend, you will find Cat in her garden or out and about on roller skates and when it’s not, she’s rugged up reading a good book or crocheting! Rain, hail or shine, Cat will never say no to a serve of buffalo wings and a cider.

Shannon Lewis
Project Manager

Known for his enthusiasm for overcoming challenges and his ability for ‘getting the impossible job done’, Shannon’s polite and friendly approach has seen him deliver highly successful projects for Diverse (he may also say clients appreciate his good grooming, but that’s simply hearsay to date.)

With 15 years’ experience gained in construction and mining, working for top tier companies including BHP Billiton and John Holland, Shannon has qualifications in both plumbing and draining.

He also spent his early years working property maintenance in the highly demanding CBD hotel industry which was where he honed his skills for understanding client needs and building client satisfaction.
